Another headliner idea - LIGHTING
Sadly my XJ is an SE - meaning that the factory headliner came with ONE dome light for the entire car. thing freaking sucks.
I have an idea for a junkyard headliner to install LEDs in the front and back (using the speaker holes in rear) that are all wired up to turn on when the doors open, but also can be operated by a manual switch that I'd mount in back.
I have not wired anything ever and was planning to follow this bleepin jeep video (
) to wire up an aux box for these and other things (light bar etc).
anyone have any tips for a total noob? I can't find anyone that's done this nor any basic wiring diagrams of what's under the headliner and where they go.
thank you in advance

use a test light or volt meter to determine your power and ground wires. If you are just using LED lights, you can piggy back on the existing cargo light feed for your power and grounds.
