Default Another bump steer issue... HELP

I just lifted my 1998 Cherokee Sport. 5 1/2 inch rubicon express short arm, with drop brackets. And adjustable track bar. I also installed rugged ridge heavy duty steering.

When Im driving down the road and hit a bump the jeep wants to dart. there is also a dead spot in the steering wheel.

I know that the track bar and drag link should be parallel and the same length. How do I fix this problem???

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Tom

Go Retighten everything. Especially your trac bar. Get a alignment?

^^x2 also look at getting a drop pitman arm. It will bring your drag link down to line up with your trackbar.

This is the one I purchased to go with my 5.5" lift

x2 on the drop pitman arm, it will help a little. As for the rugged ridge steering having a dead spot...that is what you get with a steering setup like that (all the brands using that particular tre on the rh side will give you the dead spot). You can add a spacer ( .125 - .1875 thick) between the tre and the knuckle and that will help drastically. Other than that you'll just have to get used to it.

I just ordered spacers as well as a drop pitman arm. And then I'm going to get an alignment done.

Thanks for all the help!

The damper is usually connected to the link between the tires. Could this be an issue?
