Default Amp problems

Took the amp and the subs out of my POS Alero when I got rid of it back in March. They sat in my garage until this week when I tried to put them in my XJ. I have a Kenwood KDC-HD552U head unit and a Pyramid PB446X amp hooked up to two 12" Dual subwoofers. Everything is wired correctly but the amp is not getting power. There is power coming from the battery but the amp is not turning on. Any ideas what could cause this and how to fix the problem?

Is the blue wire hooked up? It goes from the headunit to the amp it tells it when to turn on. It is called the remote wire

You can test the amp by jumpering from the 12v power cable coming from your battery to the remote turn on. If it does not turn on then its a problem with the amp. I agree with the above poster though.... probably a problem with the remote- should be a solid blue wire if i recall correctly.
