Noises After Lift
I'm pretty sure these noises are a result of the 3" lift I put on my xj. It is a grinding/rubbing sound. It's not a continual noise. It's very irregular and sounds like it's coming from under my seat. Any ideas? Thanks
|
okay. i'm going to be perfectly honest in saying that i know NOTHING about lifts. But, I'm lookin to lift my 00 XJ. So if you lift guru's could help me out that would be great. I'm wantin to know how much lift i can put in without having to mod. any mechanical stuff (drive shaft, etc..)?? Also, what is the most cost friendly lift? I'm only 17 and goin into university next year so I'm not lookin to break the bank just yet.
Any input would be appreciated. |
Research 2in budget boost. That would be your best bet!

Jesse You can probably get away with a 2" budget boost without any mechanical alterations. If you had an older Jeep you could go a little higher but the later models are not so forgiving.

okay lift gurus. i got an 84 xj 2.5L i want a lift that's homebrewed and i don't want to have to adjust my brake lines. i've heard s-10 leaf springs and a f150 coil. what years on the pickups? and could i swap parts with the s-10 and still have it be driveable. got a 93 s-10 but it needs to work when i'm done.

New Cherokee Owner Wheel and tire question!
Hi .. I just picked up this nice 98 cherokee and I would like to put some nice wheels and tires on it. It appears to have a 3'' lift kit on it. what size would be a good fit? I drive alot on the highway so I want something comfortable but yet rugged for the long michigan winters. thanks!! ;-) Keith
