I have the tool for ball joints but Ive never replaced one that was really bad. I've just always done it for a friend or something. So Is it possible for it to be 1.2degrees out from just bad ball joints or does that seem like too much?

I hate to keep bumping this but I just want some clarification. I'm trying to justify to the wife why my 100 dollar front end alignment has suddenly turned into the potential for 4-5X's that lol.

I'll be honest, I'm buying the cheapest ones from Rockauto if it turns out to be balljoints. I'll be gone for a good portion of this year soaking up some Per diem. I'll come home and put good ones one when I can afford it. That or stop dumping so much money into my Roth next month....

Those were the only two places I called that new what Offset ball joints were. If I called and asked and they had no idea. I assumed they were just some high school kid with no actual experience. That is what happened at Firestone.

Our balljoints you can replace with a BFH, floor jack and a large deepwell socket. Gotta love straight axles. Almost forgot PBlasten n a Benzomatic torch if needed.

Searching craiglist today and I find what I think is a great deal. Guy says he has some 31-1050-15 general grabber MTs from his f150 that have 99% tread. Blew the motor right after buying the tires, put up on blocks and left it. So I drive 2hours to pick em up and I get there and they are damn near new but have been sitting a couple years and have some dry rot. So the dude sold me the wheels and tires for 150. The f150 was a 96 so I they will fit the jeep.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but I'm 99% sure F-150s never had a 5x4.5 pattern. The Ranger did though. This site agrees with me http://www.fordboltpattern.com/Ford_..._Patterns.html
