Air Horn upgrade question

Air Horn upgrade question
So I finally got my airhorn! It says I can use the factory wiring/horn to hook it up and make it work. Mouthing the system wasn't too much of a problem, but when I look at my old factory horns each side is only hooked up with one wire. (One horn on either side of radiator, left side has an attachment on the top, and right horn has the wire attachment on the bottom. I've looked all over the horn, and don't know if it's a positive or negative on either side? No markings on either one. : (
Has anyone else wired up dual air horns to the factory horn? I'm done messing with it for today, and all the diagrams I find online aren't helpful at all. If pictures would help, let me know. I've got a 97 XJ.

The horns are grounded to the "chasis" of the vehicle, meaning that they only require to be tighten against the body to have ground, the only wire needed is the positive, that you are actually seing into them.
in order to activate you air horns from the OEM wiring, you need to have the positive from the OEM horns directed to the positive wire on the new air setup, and for ground a wire attached to the body and then to the air horns.
Hope it helps

No luck. >> When I get it all hooked up, no sound comes out. I have the wire from each horn ran to the + term on the compressors, and then I have the - side of the compressors grounded to the body.

Make sure your ground is grounded properly. I.e. free of paint and debris. Make sure the ground is attached to bare metal. If so, take your positive from the air horn and touch your battery. If it works then your problem is in your factory wiring somewhere

The factory horn wiring should go to a relay. Then come off the battery with the feed. The horn, steering wheel, will activate the relay sending power to the air horn. Try this set up

Updates! So now, neither of my factory horns work. I checked, and the fuse was blown. Replaced the fuse, and still no luck. Also, not getting power to the connections on the OEM horn wires. When I push the horn, I can hear a clicking sound by the glove box. So something is being odd....back under the hood!

Re-check the fuse, check the relay
And also without any horn attached check the wiring with a voltmeter (after making sure the relay and fuse are good)
there´s a chance your air horn setup is too power demanding for the OEM wiring, if so, it will keep blowing fuses, you will need to run a new relay with heavier wiring and fuse than the OEM
keep us posted.

Relay is good on OEM horns.
Working on just wiring the new horn separate. I have the relay and a switch, but I keep getting rained out, lol. (No garage.) So hopefully the weather will clear up soon and I can get this new horn working! (Will post a vid if it does.)

Not that it's any help with wiring, you may want to consider relocating your horn while you're at it. I got an aftermarket upgrade and put it on my driver side right behind my bumper. One puddle and I got water in it... Now I need another horn.

It is working! Completely ran a brand new wiring system. Put in a switch instead of a traditional push button horn, because all that did was blow through about 4 fuses.
Tightened up the connections, and then loosened part of the dash plastic, and ran it up to sit by the steering wheel. I might get some kind of switch holder later, but for now, I have a LOUD working horn! (Two and a half hours of rewiring, breaking tools and being at the parts store, lol.)
