Why do you feel the need to use one? Turboed? Supercharged? If the answer to the last two questions is no, then leave it be, the OEM computer does a very good job at monitoring that.

it's just a gauge. it is a standalone setup that has no affiliation with the factory ecu. also the factory ecu only reads narrow band and has a very small window of information.
to the op: i have an aem yugo sitting in the box i plan to install for a short period of time just to get an idea of what it's really doing.

I have a Scan Gauge mounted on my windshield in my 99 and that function is one I do not use on it. But it has very much more that I do use and it can be swapped to another car if needed.

I am a fan of the AEM UEGO 30-4110. It needs a 12v power source and a ground. It features an output wire for datalogging. Sensor and bung are included. Auto dimming at night.

I have the same as cummins. I use it because I have done some bolt on mods and have had mine tuned.
You will need to have a the bung welded into your down pipe just after the header for the sensor, it has it's own. You can run the sensor wire right through one of the grommets in the firewall. You will also need a power source for the gauge inside of the cab.
It is interesting to see what is going on during different times of driving but, like someone said above you really do not need it for and engine that is not tuned.

I have one on my truck that's been heavily modified under the hood and have it piggyback off the ecu..it's nice cause I can see that the motor is doing real.time...like when my fuel pump started to fail it would start leaning out on the top end...would never of known that with out it...I want it on the jeep cause I spend lots of time at very high elevation, like 10,000 feet plus and am always afraid to get on it hard when I may need to cause I cannot see what the afr is

I have got one of the Ballenger Motorsports wideband (afx-500) in my Bug. Its kinda ugly but works great! If you do get a wideband, make sure it uses the Bosch LSU 4.9 sensor. The other ones don't seem last as long and you need to calibrate more often.
