Because Im tired of my leaky fuel tank in my 95. And I really dont have the money in my jeep budget to put in a new 95 tank. Im being stupid and trying to put a 96 tank in with a new sending unit and single line and all that stuff. So as ive read if i do this the gas gauge isnt gunna work. I figured this out after I saw that the 96 has 4 wires to the connector and the 95 has 3.

So I was thinking about maybe just getting a aftermarket gauge and maybe connecting it to the sending unit? Or is there something else I have to do? I really would rather just put the 96 tank, sending unit, and single fuel line. SO if anyone as done a aftermarket fuel gauge, either replacing the original or placing it some where else. Please give me as much info as possible!

did some research and talked to a guy over at NAXJA by the name of Kastein and I think the tank is a 97 not a 95. So now I guess my questions has changed from can I do this on a 96 to can I do it on a 97? Help please!!!!
