Default Accel fuel injectors 4.0

So when i bought the wagoneer. He gave me a extra set of 6 Accel fuel injectors. All he said when he handed them to me was off road use. So i brought them in today and brushed them off looking for brand name or numbers. Thats when i seen Accel on one side and 24 on the other. could anyone tell me a little about them. I am going to try to add some pics.

Doing a little google search. I found they are for Ford. Sold in sets of 8. But they are a Also used in AMC 4.0 Stroker engine. It seems you can pull them right out of your ford and plug into your 4.0 and go. I just dont see where it could help my engine at all. It said should be run with 300 Hp engines. Last time i looked i think a stock none HO 4.0 was around 170Hp.

Those are 24lb injectors. Fine for a 4.6 or 4.7 stroker. Can be used in a stock 4.0 but might run a little rich. The accel yellow top's aren't very reliable either. Better with the Ford Mustang blue tops.

Would there be any avantage to the these yellow top. Over stock Injectors. other than running rich and carbon build up. I have thought about dropping them in and test driving it around the mile a few times. Also would it plug up my O 2 sensor.

Thanks

I wouldn't swap them in. Your current injectors are rated at 19lb at 39 psi which is your rail pressure. The Accel's are rated at close to 22lb at 39psi (or 24lb at 43psi) a pretty big difference. If you want to swap get a set of 19lb Mustang injectors.

Note going to waste my time putting them in. I have seen to many posts on here from people who upgraded injectors now their rig wont run right. Thats a can of worms i dont want to open.
