Default 99 XJ problems.

So I rebuilt most of my 99 Cherokee and had her purring. My fuel rail sprung a leak from that pressure regulator and spewed gas everywhere. I ordered a new fuel rail and installed it. Great right. Go to start it and the electric fan comes on as soon as I turn the ignition and I hear the fuel pump just running away. Jeep won’t start. I need a little help figuring out where to start now. I am at a loss! Please help!!!!

What's a (electric dan ) ? do you mean electric fan ? if that's the case check the coolant temp sensor and wiring and any other wiring that could have got moved when you installed the new fuel rail .

Default ground?

I was wondering since it was spilling gas all over the ground at the rear of the engine that this might be the problem. It stripped most of the new paint off the block in that area. I had it running for awhile outside before I noticed the gas leak. I am surprised it didn’t stark on fire.

Default Solved the issue.

I pulled the fan relay and realized soon after that the buzzing was not the fuel pump but the ASD relay. During the fuel rail leak it went back and blew the 15 amp asd fuse. Replaced both and now it is running fine. Thanks for the help.
