Okay so i bought this same brush guard from a guy off craigslist for $100. it came off a 97 cherokee not sure what trim style though. I bought it for use on my 99 classic. Now when I go online to try to "purchase" it from another website it tells me that It won't fit a 99 classic but it'll fit a 99 sport? Any idea what the difference could possibly be?

 

I know on my classic it has a "lower air dam" of sorts on the lower part of the bumper. you will probably have to cut into it or remove it all together. I don't think there is anything structurally that is different between sport or classics.


I just ran a 98 classic and sport in there system and got the same part number as you did. You should be good to go.

 

Structurally they should be exactly the same. Only differences are in the plastics and interior options.

 

Are you sure that you really want to install that?

 

Honestly i would save up and wait for a off road bumper.
