97 grand motor in a 96 cherokee

Default 97 grand motor in a 96 cherokee

ok i put a 97 grand cherokee motor in a 96 cherokee i have swaped everything over exept the head and block of the xj i have fuel and i have spark the firing order is correct and it just turns over. so i decided to check the oil and there is fuel in the oil does this mean the motor is bad that i just put in?

Well it has spark the fuel pressure is good and I changed the distubuter and moved it 180 and back still nothing acts like it wants to go but doesnt.anyone got any advice?

Did you swap the flexplate over too?

OK problem solved had the distubuter 180 and the firing order one off. It runs now time to get it together.
