97+ dash swap with a crawlers swist
So I've been researching and reading trying to find the right thread but doesn't look like I'm gonna find what I'm looking for...
I have a 01 XJ
And a 90 MJ
I bought it just to part out but I'm really thinking about keeping the dash for the MJ since it's clean and complete...
Here's where I differ from everyone else... everyone else wants the HO 4.0... working dash gages and all that... I don't really care... I have plans in the future with a v8 swap anyway so none of that matters...
It's only gotta run right until I get to that point... then its all coming out too... I basically want to split the interior and engine up... I don't care about the AC and Heat switches as I'll just set it all to open and have toggle switches... I may even run the OEM column depending on how hard the wiring looks to swap in the new one... The new one takes firewall work anyways...
Question is what other variables do u think I'll run into this way??

My buddy Tom (monster3663 on here) did this conversion, actually the whole interior and complete drivetrain from a 1998 into a 90. I think he has a build thread on NAXJA.
