Default 97 4.0 light turbo Q

Hi all , actually I have a 97 Grand but you all have much more traffic and collective knowledge and it's a 4.0 i6 so relevant.

I am wondering what the max Intake pressure can be with no mods - stock computer being happy on my 97 grand?

I have heard 7psi .

I'm surprised that stock MAP sensor can monitor/respond to elevated pressures. Good to know!

It can't. You would need to install a 2 bar map sensor and tune the ecu to interpret just the 0-2.5v range for atm. Then use the 2.5-5v range for boost.
