'96 ZJ NP 249 T-case need to swap front driveshaft with 4.5" lift?
I'm sure this question has been answered on here before but heck if I can find it.
I have a 1996 Grand Cherokee Limited with all-time 4WD. Looking to lift it 4.5" and i'm told that I need to switch to a U-joint on both ends style of driveshaft?
Mine has a U-Joint at the T-case but a CV style at the front axle.
So... Can I just swap in a front driveshaft out of a 4.0 Grand Cherokee and it's that simple or do I need to do something else?
Would that stock front driveshaft be long enough?
And if I switch driveshafts then I don't need to drop the T-case anymore right?
Thanks guys!
