'96 Bumper Build for Cheap
I was hoping to fabricate something a little nicer, but got pulled over by cops yesterday for not having a rear bumper. He let me off with a warning, but said he sees me on my way to work, every day, and if I didn't have something on there by Monday, he was going to write me a ticket.
So, with limited funds, limited tools, and very limited experience, I decided to fabricate a simple bumper. I didn't get any pictures before it got dark, but I keep a video blog about everything I'm doing, so you can sort of follow my steps and frustrations, if ya want.

Regret has set this morning. Just to get this done and avoid a ticket, I took a lot of short cuts and wound up with a design that I made up as I went along. Not what I wanted, and have made a pact with myself to not take anymore short cuts on this jeep.
Snapped a few pictures of it this morning, so you don't have to go through the whole video to see the end result.
For $50, I'm still satisfied with it, but it could have been so much better if I didn't feel so rushed to get it done.
Here is where I hit the fresh paint job with my knee while I was packing up my tools.
