I have a 94 jeep cherokee xj stock everything. Im wanting to put some 31s on it and I was wondering if you have to change any gearing or take the flares off or anything. And another thing, I noticed people posting things about lift kits saying they used a bastard pack. what is that exactly?

 

Your gonna have to trim to run 31's . . and a bastard pack is basicaly an add a leaf . . its cutting the springs apart off another vehicle i.e an s10 leaf pack and placing them in an xj spring pack making a bastard pack

 

You could put a 3" kit on it an clear 31's with minimal trimming, if any.
