Default 92 XJ turns over but no spark?

Hey fellas,

I have had my Jeep out of commission because of a blown up 242. A month later, everything is back together and I pushed it out of the garage, gave it a good jump off. NO start.

Replaced the spark plugs, still no spark
CPS may have something to do with it??
Has the fuel pressure (bleeded the fuel rail to check)

It will turn over and turn over like it wants to crank but doesnt ignite to start. Any help would be great!

Could it be:
ignition coil?
PCM?
Distributor cap/rotor?

Are you using the same flexplate/flywheel from the original engine?

Yes I'm using the original parts from the back of the trans tailhousing forward towards the engine.

Just checked the ignition coil with a spark plug- no spark from there either.

Check for power and a pulsing ground at the primary plug on the coil. No pulsing ground usually means the crank sensor is bad, no power to the poss side means there is an open someplace in the circuit like a blown fuse or a bad relay.

Crankshaft position sensor most likely.

Not a bad idea to buy one and keep in the glove box just in case.

Thanks for the help! I have been messing with that side of the engine (disconnecting the starter, removing all the AC stuff, alternator relocation, etc). I may have knocked a wire out of loose.

I've been reading more up on the CPS, it makes sense on EXACTLY what my problems are. And yeah I'll be having u-joints, sensors and more in a bag haha.

Well i didnt have the stalling problem. The t-case exploded then I let the Jeep sit for about 6-8 weeks. Cranked it up every now and then to make sure it still cranks (t-case was still blown up). Fixed everything these past 3 weeks, everything is hooked up properly, but no ingnition but no spark to start.
