'91 Cherokee Dash Cluster Swap
I have a 91 jeep cherokee with the retarded dash cluster that has no tachometer. I've read different threads on swapping but I haven't read anything specific to 91. I'm not great with electrical but I really want the newer dash clusters. So my question is: where can I buy a newer cluster? What do I have to change? And will it work?

I don't know abut the actual swap process, but your best bet for a cluster is going to be in junkyards. I haven't done a swap myself (I have a 2001 and have no need to) but from what I've seen it's pretty straight forward, good luck with it and keep us updated, you'll learn a lot about a lot of things from this site, these guys are great

I've heard the same except I've read threads that talk about changing certain sensors and even more. I have the money to order one online, I just don't know where from and which kind and if I should get other sensors and how to change them.

the cluster is plug and play. the tach/speedo/gas/volt will work immediately. oil/coolant temp will not work without the sendors
the sendors are so easy to swap though. pull the old ones (the coolant sender is NOT in the tstat housing. it is located at the back of the head by the firewall just like OD said). coolant sender - look inside the wire you just disconnected and see if it is 1 prong or 2 prong. you'll have to know that info when you go to buy new senders
when I did my swap, I even unbolted the speedometer and put it on my new cluster to keep my original odometer. a damn cluster was $44 at pick-n-pull. the sendors totalled to over $30 iirc

YES,,,
This is an easy swap,,
Just be careful with the plugs in the rear of the cluster. They are kinda delicate and should be handled gently.
