So my 89 xj has been sittin for a month now due to no start ive thrown parts at it and nothin :/
List of parts ive put on to it :
New gas tank
New gas lines
New fuel regulator
New fuel pump and filter
New sparkplugs.
New distributor cap
And all sensors
It cranks and cranks but no start im gettin no pressure or gas to the fuel rail the pump is on but not pushing the gas to the rail !!! I need help im on my last try !!!

 

Does pump even run ?

 

Yes the pump turns on but it seems its not sucking the gas into the lines !!

 

Lines are not crossed correct? And gotta ask this there is fuel in it correct ?

 

No they are not crossed and yes at least 5 gallons of gas in the tank

 

What brand pump ?

Id remove filter from line that runs on frame rail and set filter in bucket and turn key to run position if fuel comes thru filter maybe fuel rails plugged. If it does not come out either pumps not working or its not getting power.

 

Thats the thing theres no gas leaving the gas tank !! And fuel pump motor is on i had to bypass it so it runs on a switch

 

I've done the fuel filter thing countless times I have no clue what it could be raises saying it's a faulty fuel pump !!!

 

Dont now if its possible maybe pumps running backwards undo filter and stick a hose on it and put other end into can of gas and turn switch on see it it draws fuel backwards ?

 

Rock Autos deff cheaper on parts but certain things you buy local in case issues like this arise . Its easier to run down the street than return via mail and wait.

 

If its running backwards what does that mean ??? and yes i understand now i might have to take it back !!!

 

Pumps no good pretty sure cant wire them wrong .

 

Dang it so is it possible for a fuel pump to be faulty when they shipp it ???
