Well it has begun. After many sleepless nights I have come to the decision I am going to challenge myself to tackle somthing that will be the ultimate upgrade in my mind. It may take me 15 hours to install and a few resistors but I will make this work. I bought the 86 Digi Cressida speedo on ebay for $25.00. It will have more eye appeal and will eliminate the poor/boring factory stock gauges all 89 wxj's. Should be finished by the end of the week. I will post with finished product.

Yes my intentions are to make everything work and light up, and dim. Will be getting the cluster Thursday since I just bought it yesterday. In the mean time I, will be getting the old cluster out, and labeling all the necessary wires to keep installation time to a minimum.

Half way through the project have all the wiring schematics for both vehicles. I also have made a custom wiring harness incorporated on the back of the cressida Speedo. Got side tracked with my new shocks. But speedo will be done tomorrow with pics.

Find an FSM for the donor vehicle and check, or sit down and work with the value and an ohmmeter to figure out the response curve for yourself (on the donor's sensors, not RENIX. If you need the values for RENIX, you can find them on any GM board.)

Had to get a electrical service manual for a 86 cressida from ebay for $6.00. Can not find any wiring schematics for a 86 cressida since toyota is lame and is big on copyright. I tried every google search and only need to know the placement of 5 wires. So far half of the dash lights up and hopefully once I wire up the other half the right way. So far I have not messed with the voltage, that will be stage 2. 13 wires go into the back of the renix speedoand I know what every color is for, but for the cressida it is just a matter of time before I get my manual and I can get these last couple wires targeted, stripped, and one with my renix. The renix speedo cable snapped right in after I took off the blue cap off the back of the digital cressida dash and the numbers start moving on the mechanical odometer. I got lucky with that since it was a tight fit. So shooting for Thursday to complete this. WINNING.
Put some shox on.
