SO, I have my $100 8.25 with 3.73 gears and Trac-loc (to match the D30 up front)
Problem is the spider gear teeth are chipped, side gears look good.

I can not locate any spider gears for a 8.25 trac-loc????
Any ideas?
I would love to put a Eaton True-trac in, but $800 is not available right now (700 + carrier bearings, etc)
I was hoping to freshen up this rear and get it in and wrap this project up.

Any ideas?
Anyone have a used tru-trac they wanna sell? or trash-loc spider gears ??

 

Is any of that stock?

 

Just go to the salvage yard pull a 29 spline carrier and inner axles will cost about 50 bucks
your going to have to set backlash

I do not like the 8.25 side adjusters i like shims better.

 

I had thought the Trac-loc was an OEM item for Jeep,, My particular set up? not so much
