The 6.5 is a fine motor if you know what the hell you're doing, but I'd say too heavy for the XJ.

The 6.2 was still prone to snapping cranks and blowing head gaskets, the Duramax was deffinately the engine needed to save the diesel chevy

The detroits were ok motors as long as you didn't try to crank up the power. The crank snapping issue was never good though :thumbdown:.

The Duramax changed the diesel pickup game completely. :thumbup1:

Uhh...wut? A diesel isn't a diesel unless it has a turbo. Don't waste your time on a 6.5L. 4BT and be done.
