Shoudnt need shims with adjustable control arms. Xj sport... The angle is figured at 89° by measureing the degree of the front diff and adding the angle of the front driveshaft.. I didn't get to finish today, but I got rid of the spacers, went off rough country's install specs. They say 16.5 for the lowers and 15.5 uppers. I went 17 lowers and 15.5+.. didn't get it all completely bolted up, but already can tell that the pinion angle is going to be god awful. So I'm almost beginning to think they are not rc 6.5 springs, but who knows. This is what I get for tearing into someone else project. P.S. ordered steering today, went with JCR offroads OTK kit. I liked the fact they use stock Chevy TRE so if something happens, easy part to find. Plus the price... 299.99. Please also keep.in.mind that this is strickly a trail rig. She get trailered to the trails... So I also understand castor isn't as important as the pinion angle. Just trying to learn... I'll try to post a pic of the end result from the other day. (Supposed 6.5 lift springs, 2 in spacers. LCA at 17 and uppers at 16.75)

Maybe I'm just doing something waaaay wrong. I wish I would have measured the arms before I started... They were threaded in .5" at most..

Man that is way to far forward.... reel her in, I think your taking the lift way out of proportion. Do a measurement from axle tube to frame rail and see what the measurement is. here is a picture of where to measure.
Front stock size is 6 3/4" - 7 3/4" roughly
Rear stock size is 6" - 7" roughly
So minus the above from what you get measured out and that is the actual lift height then do your measurements for the control arms from that. Its a lot more accurate.

Oh be sure its on level ground when you do the measurement and that its sitting on its tires.

Oh hells yeah it's out to far, I'm headin out to work on it shortly here. Get it back together and see what's up with those spacer block out. With the block in, it measured right around 14 inches. So... 7 inches of lift in therory, right? So my numbers should have worked...

Cut off the sway bar links, lose the stabilizer bracket. Ream out pinion arm and knuckles. Trim.coil buckets. Anything else? It's going on my other jeep... They're both trail trucks.. dontbseebthe road. Opinion of that JCR OTK kit?

Got it figured out. Just lost the spacers. Lowers are at 17. Uppers are 16.5. Will postpucs later. Ended up have to move the track bar too. Short as it will go, still a little off. Then adjust steering. What fun, let me tell you. And as for the steering on the other one... Flop. Can't run OTK with my track bar. (RE 1600.it sticks out to far...)

What's been deleted? It works. I think the ultimate problem is that the lca tabs on the axle, previous owner welded then on, no good... But lots of weld. Anyways, they are rotated up, causeing the weird differance in lengths. The bolt holes are further out towards the wheel, and towards the back. And up higher. But it works, tucks nicely in there. Thanks for the help.
