Default 4x4 wont engage

i just put a three inch lift on my 91 4.0 cherokee. i pulled it out of the garage and went to engage four wheel and it didnt work. any ideas?

Look under the truck at the shift fork ( I think thats what it is)it may of come loose. You also should drop your t case bc of vibrations.

well i got underneath it and wiggled a two pronged plug on my front axel than engaged it and drove further and it worked so i dont know if it was the plug or i wasent driving far enough while engaging it.
