I'm on 35" 12.5 GY MTR's and from what everyone here always says is 35's are the max our axles can handle. I really noticed a difference when I went to 35's vs my old 33's. Others will probably chime in.

there is no valid reason to try to put 36's or bigger on a D30
steering, transmission, and braking will all take a big hit. wear and tear on front end parts is going to go up. that's a big heavy tire, if you're a guy that roosts 'em all over the place you're going to start breaking stuff
there's just no point to having a big tire if your jeep isn't built enough to put it to good use. a D30 is really only good up to 35" tires

Will they fit sure, I run 38s on 6" but your axle will not like them and like others have already said, you will get to buy new shafts if you actually use the skinny pedal.

i had 36" bias iroks on my long armed zj with a d30 and a44, held up pretty good wheeling for awhile but after about a yr or so i started noticing a lot of things where getting badly beat and tore up. My driver's side Lower Control arm bracket snapped off, needed to replace the axle u-joints,bent tube on a44, chipped teeth on the d30 gearing etc. But it looked badass and wheeled good for alittle but the 36's def took their toll on the axles big time man.
