35 and 3.55s?
My fried has like a brand new set of 35s he wants to trade me for my 33s, he does a lot of highway driving and that's why. I don't do much highway driving, mostly to school and back and that's about 16 miles round trip, I also go to my girlfriends house which is about 60 miles round trip, and there's a few hills going to her house but not anything crazy, I dont want to fry my tranny, but I do have a tranny cooler on my jeep now but am still running 3.55s, I will be getting a job in a month or so and the first thing I'm buying is new gears which will probably be about 4 months from now.

I've had 35's with stock gearing for about a year now ( have gears waiting on $ to install) . Gas sucks, hills suck, no power sucks... But doable . I drive 4 miles round trip to and from work so it doesn't bother me. Long trips to Pa and the hills I have to pretty much keep it in 3rd gear to keep the tranny from constantly up/down shifting

its not as bad as people make it sound. i have 35s on 3.55s and live in california where there is mountains and hills everywhere. while it isnt preferable, its not to bad. just keep in mind you will want to regear as soon as you can.

Just do it, you'll hate it, which will give you an excuse to regear... I wouldn't dog on it too much with the stock gearing, those tires are really gonna be fighting your converter, and causing a lot of heat.

I ran 35s for about 2 months with stock gears and i hated it. No power, you have to drive like an old man, your tranny will take a beating and I'm not gonna lie, your mpg's are gonna be somewhere between 5-7 mpg... Depending on how wide and heavy they are. I'm not saying its impossible but I would re gear ASAP if I where you. And go 4.88s when you do, none of this 4.56 ***** ****, being able to do burnouts on flat dry pavement with 35/14s is way worth re gearing.
