Did you re gear and still get terrible mileage? and my bad I have a 3.5 inch lift and I don't like the factory fenders so I took them off and am cutting them soon. it's actually my birthday so my family said they would pay for half of whatever tires I choose to get (toyo open country mt
) And as for steering set up I found a kit from kevinsoffraod for death wobble that comes with everything I think you guys mentioned for around $500 I'm going to check my u joints before I buy it tho.

If you are willing to trim then 33s will fit. If your steering is good now , you will not need anything for it once you go to 33s as long as you keep the same lift. Yes, there are instances when going to a larger tire makes wobble more apparent but thats only because of a preexisting problem that just became more announced because of the tire change. Gas milage will go to hell but regearing to 4.10 or 4.56 brings it more to stock, its pricey so depending on how much you drive it might or might not justify the cost of fuel vs. cost of gears+labor. You are not going to do hardcore wheeling so your axles will be fine. Also depending on the wheels you have now, you might need rims with less backspace or at least wheel spacers so that the new tires dont rub the lower control arms at full turn. But like I was saying from the beginning, the tires themselves dont make it necessary to do anything with the steering. Also if you want you could go up another inch with spacers and shackles but thats when you really need to start replacing a lot of stuff to make the Jeep drive well.

Here is a picture of a 3.5in lift with 33s and if you dont offroad and flex a lot you could still trim way less up front and be ok.

It would be noisy because he said mud tires, it would grab ruts because it is more than likely a 12.5 inch wide tire on an eight or ten inch wide wheel instead of a ten inch wide tire on a seven or eight inch wheel. I have GoodYear Kevlars on my Cherokee (33's), noisy and grabby, I have Toyo MT's (35's)' on my cummins, noisy and grabby, I have BFG MT's on my 79' Ford (33's), noisy and grabby. Setup will not change wether or not your tires are noisy and grabby, it will help make it driveable, but not change the characteristics of a MUD tire. I also agree with bigger tires and lift, everything I own is that way, just realize what you get when done, not the greatest long trip rig.
