Ok so i have a stock jeep and want to lift it. I have heard that the highest i can go without changing stuff is 3". If thats not true let me know. Also it is my DD and i dont go wheeling, so i was wondering if i could just do spacers instead of shocks and springs and what not. only get taken on logging roads for hunting. any input would be great, i found these lifts if u can give me some feedback and maybe a better idea that would be awsome.

if you dont wheel much or at all go with the add a leaf for the rear. and you can get some 3" spacers made at like a machine shop out of a 3" piece of steam pipe with a large washer welded on it. only about $15 a-piece. but you will need shocks.

I'm running a 3 inch Zone Offroad lift on my Jeep. You're right, 3 inches is the highest you can go without serious modification. With any lift, you'll need new shocks that will accommodate how high your jeep will sit off the ground.
As for which method you should choose to lift your Jeep, I'd say go with new coils and an add a leaf. Spacers will usually only give you 2-2.5 inches of lift so odds are, you won't have your front and rear end level. Avoid leaf spring blocks by any means necessary. They will will warp your axles and ruin your leaf spring packs.
I got my lift for roughly $400 with shipping. Everything on it is still going strong after 7 months! My lift included new coils, add a leafs for the rear, new U bolts, 4 white lift shocks, Red shock boots, a windshield decal, and 2 stickers. It's an awesome deal and the company I got it from is a parts supplier for BDS which is top of the line. If you take the same route I did, you'll definitely be happy.

sound like you might be exaggerating a little bit... what condition where your springs in before you installed AAL?

if you tell rough country you are on this forum?, they give you 10% off!!
i love mine, granted it isnt as tall as my buddys who have the 3.5 the 4 and the 6.5 lifts?, but, i did not have to do any changes?,its a complete bolt on kit. i do not get any death wobble at all!! (the shop i took it to and the people i spoke with tell me that when yuo go ABOVE 3" you start to run into problems. i took mine wheelin with the 3" and i love it.

I lifted my XJ by myself when I had just turned 16, I had no real knowledge in suspension at the time, I did it in my mom's garage which had horrible lighting, and all I had was hand tools, a can of PB Blast, a cheap $20 Floor Jack from Walmart, and the stock bottle jack that came with my Jeep. Got it done in one week because I stripped a leaf centering pin and couldn't find a replacement until I went to a car quest store by my dad's house that is 4 1/2 hours from me
. I probably could have had it all done within 12 hours had the pin not stripped lol

Ok so I think I am gonna go with new shocks. And new springs up front with aal in the rear maybe with blocks. I am only looking to go about 2 inches I think. Or just level the back with the front.
