I'm confused as to how your axle got into this position in the first place. I'm getting ready to go from 3" to 4.5" in the next couple weeks. Does this always happen? Any tips? Good luck with it man. Just relax. I've been following this thread since it started.

It did this cause he took all his control arms off and I think his trac bar. When I did my lcas, I had my rear wheels on and jack stands on the frame. Just pulled the axle in to place with my buddy slowly pulling in the car and me spotting and telling him when to stop.

Yea but none that know mguch about this stuff and fewer id trust doing this. Its getting really discouragimg. I tried pulling it with the car and it just twisted the axle at an angle to where the arm wouldn't even go into the mount

I got everything supported till I figure out wtf to do. There has gotta be a way to get that axle to ease forward without pulling at it. Should I try lowering the frame? Would that push it forward? I know everyone that puts lcas on doesn't have this issue.

All you need friends for is to push this, pull that, or watch this..... you don't mechanics, just bodies!!!!

If putting it together one way is not working, try another

Maybe this will help, a youtube video by Rough Country with step by step, for a 3" lift.

or there are a few step by step install instructions on youtube,

I hooked my ratchet strap on the lower part of the "c" so as it tightened up, it would rotate the axle on its axis as well.

Its squared up now. Just not far enough forward. Id rather find out how to get the axle to slide forward without pulling at it. Seems kinda sketchy

Ok so I read through a Rustys install and it says basically not to unload the coils till you intall the new control arms. Im guessing that since im not using a compressor I should install the arms first then coils? Maybe thats why im having such a hell of a time?

That sounds about right, thats what I did when I did my lift and lcas, those bushings are tough haha. Basically just dropped the axle enough to unseat the coils and popped the new ones in, I don't remember needing a compressor, but I'm sure with larger springs you would have to
