I am lifting my stock 2001 XJ. This vehicle is a daily driver and will be used for occasional wheeling, nothing too serious. I have a TJ that's built for all the bigger stuff.
Currently I have the following parts in preparation for the lift.
I installed heavy duty rear leafs shortly after buying the XJ due to stock leaf rear sag. So if I can help it, I'd prefer to keep the good rear leafs vs add-a-leaf or replacing them. This is what brought me to the 2" shackles and relocation brackets initially. What I am now reconsidering is going with a straight 3" shackle or a 3" add-a-leaf to keep the pinion angle down and hopefully eliminate the need for SYE and cv drive shaft.
Which option would be best for ride comfort/daily driving? What is your experience with the options above? Any pros/cons to either set up?

X2. The 2" shackle and relocation brackets will both improve your pinion angle, the AAL will not. Just remember, depending how far it turns your pinion up, you may need to shim your TC down a little to keep the pinion and TC output shaft parallel...

agreed, this is the way i wish i would have done mine from the beginning. then i would have been able to avoid making my own shackle relocation brackets. seems as tho everyone has a bad shackle angle after a leaf pack install so just count on it and buy the relocation bracket and the shorter shackle. better ride and better travel.
