Were they brand new tires? Were they mild or really aggressive? I always thought when they call a 31 that it's 31 inches tall. My 235's are supposedly the equivalent of a 29" tire.
They were new mud terrain SXT from les Schwab. They were kind of between an AT and a MT. decent tire. I believe most 31"tires usually measure about 30-30.5. That has been my experience but not necessarily the case 100% of the time.
31's should fit fine. I ran 33's when I was at 1.5" of lift. Only went up to 3" for 35's, and part of me wishes I hadn't gone up to 3" lift.

How much flex would you think I'd have with 31's on a BB? Also is any room gained by just removing the fender flares? I'd prefer not to have to trim.

I'm currently running 235x75x15's with stock suspension with fenders and quarters cut and rolled. I have 5 1/2 inches from current tire top to the fender and quarter edges. I just bought a set of Nexus 31x10.5x15's which will clear but I'm looking to do a 3" BB just to give me a tad more clearance.

Sure did. I was a body man for 15 yrs so this stuff comes pretty easy for me, finish is rattle can bed liner. I ran out of warm weather last fall so I still need to get rid of the lower rear quarter panels this spring. I was just in Moscow a week ago. I'm a service tech for a company that sells, installs, and maintains car wash units. We have several accounts down in your area. As for disconnects yes on the front is my answer for the rear get rid of the sway bar. I pulled mine off 6 months ago and didn't even notice the difference. The damn thing is so small in diameter I don't think it did much at all to start with. I was able to get mine off and out with out even taking off the rear wheel and jacking it up. For tires I got a full set of Nexen Roadian MT 31x10.5x15's, I just need to get them sipped and mounted next. Looks like discount tire will do the for 125 out the door.

1. Waiting on tune-up components, I'm pretty sure that the plug wires that are on there are the original ones from 277,000 miles ago.
2. Gonna change diff and transfer case fluid.
3. Take off rear swaybar.
4. Lift it.
5. Looks like I'm in the market for a new drivers window regulator.
Ever since I got my Jeep I've wished I lived closer to Spokane since you guys have a pull and save. I never have time to go up there and I'd love to try and find some good deals off the Cherokee's they have.

Well I've got a big list of things to do but most are gonna have to wait for the weather to warm up.

I spent Thursday and Friday in Pullman and Lewiston, on call this weekend so I wasn't able to much of anything but log in a crap ton of overtime. I'll get my tires sipped this week then hopefully go to my buddies shop north of me on Saturday. There was a shop in town that closed down and he picked up the guys tire changer and wheel balancer for 100 bucks. Man what an ***. Anyways he's got my old aluminum wheels that came on my XJ that he's putting on his with the 304 in it. He gonna give me his off set soft 8's for my rig if I give him my stock aluminum's for his trailer. So I pay to have the tires sipped and no mount and balance charge. Say if you get a chance look on Spokane Craigslist under Jeep Cherokee parts. There's a guy just North of me in Deer Park that has been buying and parting out a **** ton of XJ's and has just about anything a guy needs. He's usually got several ads going.

7" rims are best for 235 - 245 tires with a 2" lift and stock fenders
Unlike others, Old Man Emu springs are high quality and are guaranteed for 3 years. Hankook all train tires are great inexpensive widely available tires
