I have new stock pipes and new cat and cherry bomb glass pack also stock header. hopefully that will help?

I would think it should get better than that. Maybe they changed something for 97 that make mine a little better. Some guy was saying on the other forum that Liberty injectors could get you better mileage. I'd research that if I were you

as far as mpg goes, tune up first an foremost... forget about about upgrading until your already running as the "best its got"

On the other hand, mine sat in some dude's yard for 3 years with a hole in the gas tank. I patched the hole and ran with what it already had in it (which is pitiful) it does run rough sometimes but I get awesome mileage for some reason.

It runs good I just think I should be able to get atleast 15 mpgs

Make a big fiberglass front end like they did on Mythbusters to make the wind drag go away. Looked like a damn boat lol. It might've been stuntbusters btw

I just installed mine on Saturday. Alignment is a must. And just rent a coil compressor it makes life easier. Also, be carefull with the bolts go slow, use PB blaster and no power only hand.

i was trying to decide if i should get a coil spring compressor or not and most any shop should align it right since it is only a 2 inch lift.

Yes also if take the bottom bolt off the track bar will help drop the axle enough. Shouldn't need a coil spring compressor for just a 2" lift or any lift
