Default 1998 231 vac transfer case to 242 electric t case

i need to replace my bad 231 vacuum transfer case and was given a 242 electric transfer case, can i use electric instead of vacuum and what do i do with old vacuum cable.

First I've heard of an electric 242 t-case so I curious now. It's not stock I assume? And in theory, scrap the vacuum linkage, and install a relay with wiring and switches for each position (check out the AW4 mod on NAXJA because it would be the closest example I can give to explain how to do it)

can u post link for the aw4 on naxja mod and the replacement 242 is not stock, the car has a electrical connector for cable for the 242.
