Looking to put tires on my 95 XJ. Tire store said I could put 30x7.5 with out a lift with 1 inch offset rims. This one is going to be my our family rig maybe snow and beach runs. No serious off reading. I was thinking of putting 31's on it but not sure what lift. I was thinking I would have to do a 3" lift. Is one better than others? Thinking of looking for a lift with complete rear leafs not just an add a leaf.

Did the tire store mean using a rim that sticks out 1" more than the stock rim? If so your talking a rim with 4.25" backspace. Also did you mean 30/9.50-15 tires? To use 30" tires the stock suspension better be in good shape or the tires will rub. 235/75-15's would work.
31's with a 3" lift will work. Rusty's and Zone are two shops with good reputations at CF.

Yes 30 9.5 15’s. Not sure what 4.25” back space is. The tire store said the rims adjust the tires 1” further towards the outside so I wouldn’t need tire spacers. I already have P235 R75/15’s on it I just wanted to upgrade tires. Sounds like I should do at least a 3” lift. I will start pricing them
