Default 1993 jeep cherokee xj

Hi my name is garrett. I'm pulling the straight 6 motor and transmission out of my 1993 Cherokee XJ and putting it into a 1985 2 door XJ is there any way that the engine will start and run if the complete engine wiring harness fuel system and computer is taken out of the donor Jeep is there a basic way to wire it up or do I have to take more than just the fuel system and wiring harness. thanks for all the help the threads posted on these forums have helped me numerous times

Idk the situation here but I do know that you can take the HO 4.0 and dress it out with your renix parts and it will work.

You will have to do some firewall work to get the i6 to fit in an 85.

Stuffing a 4.0 in a pre '87 XJ? You're gonna have a bad time.

Maybe rob parts off the '85 for the later model one??
