Default 1989 and down xj caliper upgrade

Older xjs have a removable bracket for mounting the single piston . 2000 and up Grand cherokee also have them. Ive read that using the silver caliper from them will clear a 15 inch wheel. Anyone tried this yet ?.....https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/upg...-brakes-67258/

when i swapped in my one piece d30 out of my 89 limited so i could have the larger u-joints in my 90, i just swapped the knuckles so i can use my 90 calipers.
but that doesn't get you the wj brakes but once i went with the larger booster, it did the trick.

Locating used parts for trial fit hopefully this week. Gonna see if a new upgrade is possible with out knuckle change. Wondering why spacers are used with the knuckle change up grade ?
