00 XJ 4.5Long arm cant shift into 4lo

00 XJ 4.5Long arm cant shift into 4lo
I can't get my shifter to shift into 4Lo. It will go into all other 2wd, 4wpt, 4wft, but not 4lo. I can adjust and then it will go into 4lo, but not back into 2hi.

wonder if it will work?? any ideas would help! tks
