When you attempt to follow two locked TJs up a difficult line, can't make it, and have to turn around on an obstacle known as Heart Attack Hill...not doing that again! In doing so, learned first hand that Baja Claws have terrible lateral traction

 

Might drive a xj when You realized your next upgrade is a ford exploder rear axle that has c'clips

 

Ymdaxj if you day dream all day about leaving work early enough to work on the xj a little with the sun still out

 

Ymdaxj if you don't even mind driving everywhere just because you know your xj looks awesome going down the road

 

when you miss your xjs.... (( and theyare two hours away. and you wont see them again for 9 months... all you can hope is when you get back they havent completely rotted away. and knowing xjs they probly have

 

when you look at an ad for an xj on craigslist and mistake the phone number they put for the xjs mileage

Not sure if it was this thread or one of the previous iterations someone wrote "...when you start actually liking the smell of PB Blaster". Another replied "eventually you get used to the taste, too". I think I fall into the latter category now

 

Ymdaxj if you decided to do axle swap and then murphy's law kicks in and then your jeeps out for a month.

 

You might drive an XJ if you're buddy in a 4x4 Montero calls you in in your 2wd rig to pull him out

Or if you turn the radio up so that your friends will leave you alone about all the inexplicable noises your jeep makes lol

 

I pulled a 4wd 2 door XJ out of a swamp with my 87 2wd Chevy pick up with two fat guys sitting on the wheel wells in 2000 lol.

 

hahaha that's great. My friend high centered his Terro before I even got on the trail and went in haulin and spinning and pulled him out no prob
