Straight from the man himself

take a stock xj you don't have much more
than anything else out there
for off-road capability

put a three inch lift on some 31's
and and get rid of both your sway bars
and now you've got something that will
out wheel almost everything out there

 

 

Definitely "for those about to rock".... love my XJ too...but wish I had as much work into it as he's got in the yellow banana.... That may look like just a lift and larger tires....but I think he has a D44 up front and a D60 out back with a LOT of other beefed up parts to get other rigs out of butt-puckering spots without breaking something himself.
Wish I had his setup on mine. If he ever wants to sponsor a build he can do mine

 

Here is another series that is an eye opener. They always focus on the Wranglers, more drama there. The XJs just do it with ease
