The worst part about getting big o'l rims is that tire price go's up every inch you go. Remember that when picking rims/tires, also don't forget about used. Hell for the price of new runs you can pick up a crappy little car/truck with the right lug pattern or the "universal" type then sell the rest to make some of your $ back. I think it can look nice but it just gets so pricy, my brother has a f250 with 18" rims and the price of his tires was crazy. Good luck can't wait to see the end result.

Well I didn't get to see any of the comments bashing me but don't really care...
My jeep will rarely see off road, here and there yeah but mostly the streets. I'm not trying to make it look like a gangster ride I just like to see some nice wheels not some ugly little 15" steel wheels. Have you guys ever seen a nice truck with bigger wheels and nice meaty tires? It looks great!

No one was bashing you. He deleted my comment where I posted a video of Dave Chappelle saying "this is the most ballinest **** eva"
I think bigger rims and tires look good on a bigger truck yeah. Because the truck is bigger. 17's are blingin and still look good on a jeep. Passed that just starts to look silly to me unless you're running monster tires. On a small jeep, big rims do nothing more than give a poor ride quality because there is less room for sidewall flex. And give that low profile escalade look
Difference of opinion. No big deal. 4wheelparts is where I do all my window shopping have you poked around the site yet?

Well if your going to be a mall crawler kinda guy (which is cool no harm intended) I would not get mud tires unless you just like the look (my brother lol) they wear down way to quick. HE did that to one set and went with a set of all-terrains the next set and they were still crazy pricy but he was looking for 35's. Pirelli makes a great all terain tire that works with bigger rims check those out.

Well I'm not against 17s I just want to get the look right, I don't want them to look to big but just right. I'll have to find some pics of XJs with 17s and a 3" lift

If you guys want to post up ideas I'm open to options. I like the way my buddies f-150 looks with 20s and 33s. Should I do 17s and ?? To achieve the same look on my jeep?

If $$ isn't an issue, I always thought that AEV's would look sweet on an XJ.

I don't think 17's would look bad on like 33's or bigger maybe. I know my 16's on 32's look perfect between a good little bit of "bling" without being too much. And the tire price wasnt too bad. Except I wish I had gone 33's

So I ordered my 3" lift kit and that should be here this week! Hopefully Ill have time to throw it in this weekend. Anyways I already know ill be needing/wanting rims and tires. I want black rims in the 17-20' range with some beefy tires.
Any suggestions on who has good deals on nice wheels? Or which sizes I should go with?

They make them bigger if you like them like that.
