Ya Its nice living on the coast, Hear in San Diego the temp is around 75. To bad my mane job tomarow is geting the XJ back together.

 

There is a guy that fabrictaes mounts on the forum that bolt on the tail light. I got one for the jeep and its great. I have a 102 inch whip antenna and Im looking to get a smaller one now since it hits everything overhead lol.

 

I want the whip for when I'm out on the trail, here in the desert you can get lost and ain't nothing for miles. I thought about the short high frequency antennas but I just think the whip looks cool. Send me a link?

 

Bad deal, is that the guy on here that if you have problems he won't fix it?

I'd go with a short antenna. Put a slim spring on and your good to go. I've had a whip and while they look good they are terrible antenna's. A K40 set up right will surprise you. Just my .02

 

I had bought one from him. He is a great and honest guy. I didn't have a PayPal and I sent hi the money. And he let me know when he got it and when he sent the mount. I would buy from him again. It is very strong and won't break...I would know.... Rubbed a tree with it and bent it back. It was pretty difficult to straighten out but non the less a GREAT product.
