IMO it's more hassle then it's worth. Too much customs crap to go through. It also may not be able to legally register because it might not pass safety and emission standards since it's too new and built in a different country. If you want the front end I'd suggest get a Cherokee and do the front end conversion yourself, it'll end up being cheaper even with the paint.

A few years ago, a group on NAXJA was pooling money together to buy the front clips from china as a group cause freight was so expensive to the US. I know they did it at least twice cause I almost jumped in on the 2nd purchase.

Don't forget outside America the liberty is actually, it does pain me to say, the continuance of the Cherokee. Jeep just use liberty probably for the patrioticness of the events in ny. Hence also the patriot. Although most of the liberty if not all is made in dodge plants. Heck they have dodge trannies
