I am wanting to do a 2" lift to my DD '91 XJ. I just have a quick question regarding what to go with. At first, I was gonna do this home-brew kit here:

What should I go with? And please, not trying to sound mean, but before anyone jumps in and says "They're cheap, do this OME Kit that costs a butt load of dollars for the better ride.." I'm a poor college student. That should very well explain my financial standpoint. Thanks for the opinions!

 

Home brew over add-a-leaf. build a spring pack, look for used springs or the v8 zj ones or whatever they use

 

That's what I thought at first. However, the rocklizard homebrew seems to be an AAL with the top main leaf that you cut the bushings off of.

 

No big difference. that is what would be referred to as a bastard pack here. search it. an add a leaf is heavily arched to force the pack up more.

 

just get 2'' shackles for the rear and 2'' spacers for the front
