Default Which WJ to buy?

Looking at 2 WJ's right now.

Opt. #1
2004 4x4, V8 dark blue, 199k, cloth seats. Looks real clean.

Opt. #2
2001 4x2, V8 silver, 166k, leather 2 tone seats, sunroof, Just a little worn. Still looks decent.

I am not an off roader and need a daily driver so the 4x4 vs 4x2 doesn't bother me.

It basically comes down to newer with more miles, or older with less miles. I'm torn on which one to actively pursue.

If you ever see snow where you live you will want the 4x4 one.

I'm in TN. It rarely snows here anymore. When it does my office is closed so I never have to get out in the snow. That is the one thing that pulls me towards the 4x4 is I'd rather have it and not need it then not have it and need it.

Right now I am leaning towards the 04 just because I saw it 1st when the silver one popped up. Didn't want to drop a good one because another one showed up.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention this. 04 Blue one is an individual and wants $4100, Silver one is dealer and wants $3995.

I am hoping to talk the blue one down lower. This is probably what will make or break the deal.

I'd get the 4x4 just for the sake of having it if you needed it. I have a 2 wheel drive 00 model WJ and it has done very well in the winters, but my 4x4 XJ showed me how much more control I can have. You could buy my WJ, it only has 235,000 miles on it lol

If I were you I'd try and hunt for a 4.0. But if I had to choose I'd go with option 1. 4wd better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

I have an 04 "Overland Edition" with every option bought it 5 yrs ago with 201,000 mi. on it. It is the 4.7HO motor 4x4 looks/drives/runs perfect still after 5 yrs as a DD. It has more options than our 2012 Lincoln Town Car and that's a lot.

Unless someone steals it away I am thinking I am going to go with Opt 1.
I can't get out there till Saturday and I swear to God if someone swoops in before I can get it....
