WJ and the $4000 theroy
Hello, I am here trying to prove a theory. That I could buy a vehicle for up to $4k and nurse it along for 100k miles.
I purchased a WJ @ 145k, put new on tires, brakes, headlight lenses, parking break switch and have been driving merrily along for a year. Now I've got some transmission problems.
So I'm here to search and mine, and hopefully add to the collective.

I just bought a 1999 Grand Cherokee for my wife. We paid under $4k for it. It's the straight 6 with Select Trac 4WD. It only has 128K miles on it and I fully expect to make it well over 200K. Good luck with yours.
