Winching with hi-lift jack

I saw online that you could rig your high lift to be used as a winch does anyn know if this works or how efective it is

Yes it does work, its just slow hard work but will get the job done in a bind

i wish i had a hi-lift, woulda saved my *** many times! Gee Oh Dee knows about this... calling him up in the middle of the night! but i've learned to not go unprepared and alone!

I bought a winch for my ATV... the only reason I dont have one on my xj is price.( atv one from harbor frieght cost less than 60 bucks)

Talking about the little camo ones? I picked up one of those for like 40 for Idk what reason lol
