Clearly unrealistic propaganda. No one is concerned about the strange noises the Jeep is making. 2/10.

What set you off? Was it the part about the war bonds, or the fact you need to tune to the Bob Hope show for info and winners? LOL

Very cool ad. Thanks for sharing.

Yea, I drove those a lot too back in the day. But the the Fed Highway Safety Dept or whoever at the Fed level never approved them for civilian road use. So they were never sold as surplus. Probably sold to our enemies, as usual, though.

Like, the NVA and VC used our M1 carbines against us, and now ISIS has M1 Abrams tanks, thanks to the numb skulls in our DOD thinking that building and arming and Iraqi army was not just ultimately giving the stuff to our enemies. Which happened, of course.

I am top row fourth from the right.

600 mile range. Had a W-50 nuke warhead. Selectable: 60, 200, or 400 Kilotons. (Nagasaki was 21 KT) Would have ended the southeast asian conflict with certainty in 14 milliseconds, rather than ambiguously in 14 years. But either way, the world still lives with the fall out. Such is American foreign policy.
