Will early roof rack bars fit a 98?

Default Will early roof rack bars fit a 98?

Like the title says, will the stock roof rack bars from a early 90s cherokee fit a 98?

i wouldnt think so. they seem to be smaller and weaker

I went to the junkyard & grabbed a bunch for my 1998 XJ.

They were $5.00 each & I just looked for ones that had the same side brackets as mine.

I never looked at what years the donor vehicles were, but all three of them were the older ones with wing windows in the driver's doors.

the cross bars should fit fine on any model xj. the bars that go perpendicular along the sides of the xj vary though from body style not sure exactly what year is changed though.
