Due to normal driving and miles.... Will the AW4 last 250k and the 4.0 last 400k or reverse or which will encounter problems first ? Which will last longer ?


Because 250k, for me at least, is barely getting into high miles IMO.... I owned a 95 Accord 5-speed with 423,000 miles original trans and engine. I would expect any engine produced in the last 10-15 years to go a minimum of 300k(my brother has a 2003 Acura cl type s 6-speed with 340k!) and any auto trans to last at least 200k.....

My 89 Cherokee has 258k on it. All original. The 4.0 runs like a tank, but the auto trans is dead.

 

If you take care of both and drive easy they both should last. But I would guess the AW4 will probably be the first to go.
